Leonard Craig was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Fred Craig Sr. and Loretta Craig on March 27th, 1952. He attended various schools throughout the Phoenix area including Phoenix Union High School. He was married for 42 years to Mary Alice Wilson with whom he had three daughters. Leonard worked for the City of Phoenix in various capacities for over thirty-five years including many years at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport from which he retired.

During his life, Leonard became an Ordained Deacon, and Minister. He helped serve the Lord at various churches including...

Leonard Craig was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Fred Craig Sr. and Loretta Craig on March 27th, 1952. He attended various schools throughout the Phoenix area including Phoenix Union High School. He was married for 42 years to Mary Alice Wilson with whom he had three daughters. Leonard worked for the City of Phoenix in various capacities for over thirty-five years including many years at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport from which he retired.

During his life, Leonard became an Ordained Deacon, and Minister. He helped serve the Lord at various churches including St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church, Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, and the River of Life Tabernacle. He later decided to start his own church the House of Praise and Worship in which many of his friends and family attended throughout the years.

His wife Mary Alice Craig; his father Fred D. Craig Sr., and his sister Marilyn Craig precede Leonard in death.

Leonard is survived by his daughters Monica Craig, Shawntay Craig-Hall, and Natalie Craig; his mother Loretta Craig; his siblings Catherine Brooks, Fred Craig Jr., Vincent Craig, Diane Dodson, Darlene Craig-Wilson, and Garette Craig Sr.; his grandchildren Imani, Amaya, Kaleb, Amelia, Aminah, Lamor, Tyasha and Karmaryea. A host of his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends will also cherish his memory.

Services will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Resthaven / Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens, 4310 E. Southern Ave, Phoenix AZ 85042, with visitation from 1:00 - 1:30pm, funeral at 1:30pm, followed by burial.
